I recently purchased a 70 Challenger convertible and the previous owner had purchased a new boot but had not installed it. I've never replaced a convertible boot before so I thought I would check in with the experts here on how best to proceed! Any input is appreciated!!

There is an aluminum "track" piece bolted up high on the back of the rear seat. The boot slides into the groove on the track. Then the boot has clips that snap onto the stainless steel trim.

It appears the current boot has been on the car for quite some time. Do you know of any tricks to make the boots slide in and out a little easier? thanks!
