I picked up a used turbo and exhaust brake off a 2006 like mine the other day and could someone tell me what's needed to put the brake piece on mine? I Have a blank pipe where this piece would go. It has a big vacuum chamber attached, does that hook to the brake booster in some way? Thought it would help towing the trailer.

Does it look like kind of like this one?

BD diesel has all the instructions for theirs online you just need to click into the appropriate year and there is a tab for instruction manual beside the description

No, the one I have is factory, I think, that will go in the same place as the existing elbow using the same clamps. I'll still look up that unit, looks like it uses vacuum too

Yes it goes in where the elbow comes out of the turbo. BUT you will need a whole kit to put it in. There is a vacuum pump, wiring harness, switch, seals, belt, and I'm not sure if there is anything else any more. It is a whole system. Not just the elbow and valve. Jacobs made them for Dodge and Cummins. I don't know if you can go directly to a Cummins dealer and get the stuff or not. Look on ebay. That is where I got my complete set-up that I put on my 04.

Hoping I could run it off the existing vac pump for brake booster. Is yours manual applied? Or when you push brake pedal?

It takes the whole kit to run it. It is applied independently of the braking system. You have a switch to turn it on and then it will not turn on until the throttle is in the rest position for 1 second (I think). You don't want it to come on with the brake pedal. That would defeat it's purpose. The purpose of an exhaust brake is to retard the engine speed to help slow down the vehicle without using the brakes. It is meant to save the brakes from 1. wear and 2. overheating. Also you don't want to apply the exhaust brake on slippery roads.
