As far as appearance who offers a correct appearing 15" trim ring?

This is supposed to be for the Rallye wheel, Click here: RALLYE TRIM RING
but appears to be too rounded at the transition form outer to inner surfaces and the P/N is the same as Wheel Vintiques

Here is the Wheel Vintiques: WHEEL VINTIQUES

It appears the brushed ring may be the same but the dull finish reduces the reflection and appearance of a curvature?

This one for a Chevy at least has a better edge in my eye? Thoughts? : CHEVY TRIM RING

The wheels Vintique pic is more an illustration, I have a set of the 15x7 WV's they look just like the "Ralley Wheel" ring set you posted

I don't like the rounded edge, as a kid I swear they all had the crisper angled edge> these examples are sharper looking

Personally I like the wheels Vintique rings, I know some guys get all "choked" up about trim rings and all the nuances

Wasn't there an older thread that highlighted the differences between assembly line 15" trim rings, vs. later versions vs. reproductions?

I remember reading through it quite some time ago, but I can't seem to find it using the search function.

I bought the Wheel Vintiques trim rings for my car many years ago and I thought they were darn close to the originals. Unless they have changed them I was very happy with the look. I don`t remember the edges having a rounding off.

I got the WV rings and rims 03/98, I think they look great...going to keep using them, don't want to take a chance on dinging or losing an original

Coker tire says all trim rings that come into the states come through them. I bought a set and have to say they are off from the originals. I have them laying here in the floor ready to go on ebay.
I think whoever was doing the correct repop of the original no longer makes them and this is all we have. Having said that I see many restored cars with this later trim ring. They look way off to me. I also noticed GYC using this trim ring. I will post some pics later today of the difference.

Bought a set of repops and wasn't happy, now I have about $1400 in a set of originals restored by Rick Miller and am thrilled. Ricks portion is $115 a ring +shipping, well worth the fee for his service.

I know the subject is about the 15" trim rings but is there the same issue with the repop 14" trim rings? Or are the 14" repops better quality?

I don't think there are any 14" reproduction trim rings. At least ones that were meant to be a close substitute for the original Mopar ones.

Be nice to see some well defined pics of original vs repro, so we can see all the "hoopla" over "hoops", and this "roundedness" spoken of?

Thank you for the information on the 14" trim rings. I have a used set that could be sent in to have redone. The ones on my car are in excellent shape and I have 3 N.O.S. rings. I guess I need to decide about getting the used ones redone and let someone else use them. I'll never need them. Good information on wheel trim rings.

Just updating an old thread with a shot of some OEM 15" trim rings notice the inner edge is concave not round
