Hi Guys, does anyone have a diagram for the cig lighter for a 70 Charger or a good photo of an assembled one? I took mine apart years ago when I originally tore the car down and now I cannot figure out how all the little pieces go back together. I'm pretty sure I have all the pieces just trying to avoid creating a dead short in the dash smile. Thanks!

?? the lighter? there are 3 pieces. the outer shell which screws onto the inner 'guts' and the lighter itself.
you must mean something else.

mike is correct. Some have a ground that wires in.Almost all just have a hot to the terminal at the end of inner housing. If a ground termial os there its to the outer shell.Install the inner then the outer threads onto it typically creating the ground.Rocky

Thanks guys, agreed that the big pieces are pretty clear. I should have been more specific, my question was about the order of assembly of the small parts that screw together in the guts of the socket.

After playing around with the assembly and a continuity tester I wound up figuring it out earlier today and got it working in the car.

Thanks!
