I have a 1970 Cuda with a manual foot pump washer system. Most washer bottles for sale that I've seen have a sharp 90 degree upper right corner on them but some I've talked to say for an OE correct application the bottle should have a gentle curve to the upper corner. Can someone with an original '70 foot pump Cuda please let me know what would be correct?

I think the early to mid-year built cars got the square bottle, with the transition to the one with the rounded corner occurring somewhere around March of 70?

do both the "foot pump" & "electric washer" bottles exist in both shapes?
if so, the transition date would likely vary between type & assembly plants.

are all 4 available in reproduction?

It appears that both shapes are reproduced in foot pump / electric pump configurations. I myself have only owned a few cars with manual pumps, they were 318 standard dash 1970 Challengers that I parted out. Both built in 1969 I think, one was a Hamtramck car and the other an LA car. Offhand I think they had the square bottle if I remember correctly, but it was a long time ago so I'm not sure. Will have to see if I still have the bottles laying around or any pictures of the engine compartments. Have a couple of late March - early April Hamtramck built R/T Challengers (rallye dash with electric pump) with the round corner bottle. Fairly certain the bottles were original when we got the cars back in the early 90s, one car was off the road since 1979.

Talking to others, I have determined that more than likely the squared off corner was '70 and the more rounded corner was '71 (has a dimple in the middle facing the radiator support for the grille bracket). It seems some of the later built 70's though (AAR's) may have gotten the '71 washer bottle.

We had a long thread on this subject 5 or more years ago, but both bottles were in use by spring of the 1970 model year.

The rounded corner bottle is typically found with foot pump / standard dash / two speed wiper motor cars.
