If the show is supposed to be racing on the street where nobody is around how come the ambulances were right there when they crashed. ( Thankfully they were there ).

Are you saying you have never noticed the load of portable trailer lights that shine on everything or the ambulance sitting in the background before now?

Read the disclaimer at the beginning of every show. It basically says that everything shown on the show is legal and under proper safety precautions. Basically, they shut down an area for a TV show production.

It is well documented and even SAYS at the beginning of show........that all racing is done in a controlled environment. It IS a street, but is completely closed to local traffic and people. Is permitted by the city where they do it. They have a tech inspection and safety personnel on hand. A taping usually lasts from about 10pm until daylight. You don't just roll up on a public, open road and race for 6+ hours.

They have portable lights. Cameras mounted on a rolling gantry crane. They mic you up. Its a full production deal.

The MAIN road they race on is in a town called Okema. It is in an industrial type complex and the road is a "through" road on the property. Has a golf course on one side and open field on the other.

The last taping I was at was in Tulsa. That appeared to be a city owned road, as it was a divided 4 lane in an industrial area. They totally blocked the road for a couple miles and detoured the local traffic around it

Do you think a company like Discovery Channel would pay for and operate a show like that without dotting all the Is and crossing all the Ts to protect thier employeees and all the other folks involved in that show work
I had been involved in small town street racing a long time ago in southern ,CA, no floodlights lights, NO CAMERAS tsk and no permissions needed or wanted back then shruggy Race and run to make sure you weren't there if and when the law showed up devil up

Really? I can't believe after the show has been on for this long that people are still just figuring a lot of this stuff out.

Anybody else notice that it appeared that Tina was on the brakes before she crossed the finish line when she raced boosted?

I saw her post on Facebook (I think) that she was not on the brakes even though the brake lights were on. She said the brake light switch is very sensitive. I believe her, others may not.

It looks like there will not be anymore taping in Tulsa. The City Council denied the last request for a permit. This was requested by the Tulsa Police Department who feels the show sends a bad message and is responsible for an increase in street racing.

This was for a session that was quite a ways out but I don't remember the date.

Yup Tulsa looks bad because of street racing. It's not all the meth heads and fentanyl junkies running around.

And all the crimes on A&E's First 48
