You didn't mention anything about a return line in your fuel system...you don't have that pump deadheaded do you?

I doubt it's the fuel system, but the only flow test that tells you anything relevant is one done with a restrictor(or valve) in the discharge line adjusted to that you are flowing at what you feel would be the lowest acceptable system pressure(around 5lbs). Then time how long it takes to fill a gallon can while maintaining that pressure. Free flow tests are of essentially no value in determining if the fuel system is adequate for the application.

yes I have a return line a -8 How much fuel do you use from pit to pit...what size is the vent.. are you using a roll over valve. they tend to be on the small side... when you do a flow test is the cap on the fuel system(like it would be driving)... and as said.. flow through the orifice (I like to pull the float bowls and set them in the bucket so they are upright
