Looks like the numbers have already been moved to another car, trunk drip rail number appears to have been cut out long ago, along with all the other specific Daytona parts. The owner (Ted S.) has the tags/numbers,the irony is they we supposedly removed so that a "rebody" wouldn't be performed

Sounds about right. Money makes people do crazy things sometimes... One car disappears, another is reborn.

I had seen it on Facebook but didn't know what car it was (where it was from). Looks like a rebody that will be done on a TV show to me. The excuse that "We used as much of the original car as we could" will be used to justify it being an original.
Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

IMO its sitting there. tv show comes and says lets do this to show it can be done. Ted has connections with AMD o it will be built on the jig I am sure and be true and straight. Why not put the car back on the road. Will it ever be worth what it could of been. No but I imagine it wont cost half of what it would for anyone else without those connections. It will be what it is when its done and it will be another mopar back on the road not recycled into a Honda. let the car speak for it self when its done. I am looking forward to seeing it come back from the dead.

Being in the Wingcar reproduction business for about 2 decades I get a handful of offers over the years to purchase envelope Tona's or Superbird's and on an off occasion a Charger 500 or find owners for them, depending on how much "documentation" is available the asking/selling prices can range $3K to $6K on avg

I know there was a long thread on what a rebody is, but I see this as a repair.
