Is anyone familiar with restoration battery company? I have seen some good reviews, and was wondering if anyone has one of their batteries. Thanks, Joe

For big block 1970, the caps should be red. Antique auto has it in green or yellow. So I guess it depends on each owner's application. Both sell AGM battery, so any of these places should be good.

My yellow cap is almost 6 years old and red cap is almost 5. No issues so far.

steve70, what your secret for making your batteries last so long? My yellow cap from antique battery only lasted 3 years.

When I had my old Challenger, I went thru acid cell batteries every 2 years. Car was not driven much. When summer came, I would put on a battery charger.
After my last wet cell battery, I got a agm restoration battery from Mancini. I think it was a Turbostart one in 2010. The big tip I got was getting a battery maintainer. So I got a Battery Tender. I put that on whenever Im not driving the car. Battery is running strong since. There are several good battery maintainers. Battery Tender is good, CTek is good. I have both. Just make sure it works for AGM battery.

I haven't done anything special although I disconnect the cable on the yellow cap if the car is going to be sitting for more than a couple weeks because that car has a clock.

During the winter I'll put them on a regular 10 amp charger if I see the voltage starting to drop below 12.4. I believe the instructions that came with the batteries recommended a 10 amp charger instead of a battery maintainer.
