Trying to help a friend out, need a little advice.
440 .030 over should be 10.25 CR Comp Cams solid roller 286/292-576/582 cam Edelbrock RPM heads with 2.19 int. and 1.88 exh. valves with just a little cleaning up.Using the 6-Pack intake and carbs. It will have a 3500 stall B&M converter.Rear gears are 3.54 (I think) in a 69 Road Runner.
He wants to try and stay with a mechanical fuel pump. Summit has 130+ and 170+ GPH pumps in thier catalog I told him either would be fine.He called Summit and they told him the 110 was the biggest they had for a Mopar. To me this seems like it will not be enought. What pump does everyone else use? Thanks

We run the big Holleys only.I had 4 bad Carters in a row.One for the SB didnt even work new out of the box.One the arm and spring popped for a BB.Put my 30 year old Holley on and ran it for a year before the kid bought a new one.My Holley feeds my 1050 Dominator and dosent drop pressure.Ill never buy another Carter ever.Rocky

i run a carter strip pump on my roadrunner, and carter street pumps on my daughters 440 and my wifes 383. ive had good luck with them, the strip pump is probably 10 plus years old dont the clay smith pumps have some serious clearance issue with the block? this pump looks really interesting http://www.racepumps.com/Fuel%20Pumps.html

Summit pump # EDL-1723 is the Edelbrock labeled 110 pump. It has 3/8 inlet and outlet. Runs 6psi and is good for 600 HP engines. This pump will handle the engine combo you are describing. I am running a stock 5/16 line carter pump on my 451 with a solid cam shiting at 6300 with no problems and the 1723 is definately a step up from mine. Cheers Ross
Lets make that shifting......sorry mods
