The Agent hears that a group of investors is in the process of developing 255 acres of the old Alameda (Calif.) Naval Air Station. This will consist of an Autocross course, a moto X course, a road course and an eighth-mile drag strip. Reportedly, blueprints are being drawn up right now for the strip and a contractor is being selected to resurface the concrete

Never gonna happen...Big guns couldn't get a track to work in Merced where there is alot less enviromental crazies...Alameda is a perfect location & I wish them all the lucky but.....

I saw this on a different site. Sears point is close to me but more tracks in the area would be sweet.

That sounds good and all but as what happened in Merced, wait and see.

I wouldnt get my hopes up.. I've somewhat followed this story on a local racing forum.. I believe a race track has been proposed several times in the last few years, only to have the city and board of supervisors reject it..

With that said, a race track inside the Bay Area is long long overdue..

There probably hasn't been a track in the Bay area since the Fremont days.

You're correct.. The only two tracks we have is Sac and Infineon.. both are a 2 hour drive for me
