On my 71 SSP I am trying get the trunk lid lined up. I can do front to back, and up and down, how the heck do you get any adjustment side to side?

It might sound rather crude, but it's called "racking", open the trunk lid, standing on the side of the car where the gap is the tightest, push the trunk lid to the opposite side where you wish to close the gap dimension on by forcefully "shoving" the lid, it'll take some effort, and constantly checking where the lid lays down in regards to the side gaps after a few thrusts, your trunk latch should only be locking the lid, not being used to align the lid
