Has anybody heard what has caused the production halt on the A855 this time and/or an estimated time to get things underway?

As I have mentioned in previous info, the A-855 is well on it's way with a serious forward pace. Well, actually that was a legit question.... If you've been around since the conception of this trans, then you KNOW, that there have been many bumps in the road and halts to production. Just a testament to Jamie's resolve. IMO. I try to keep in the loop either by reading here or talking to Jamie myself, and things seem on the upswing! I too, am patiently waiting.

Hey Old School, What will be your choice in clutches to hook those beauties up? I have been using Mcleod street twin clutches, for the last 20 years. it is the only clutch that will hold up to the power, or have any chance of lasting. I have a couple of them that are over 15 years old, with nothing done to them...

Anyone willing to reveal what number we're up to?
I am 42 or 43, but was told the 71+ bench seat variant was taking extra time. I don't want to call and bug Jamie, but I am curious where we are. I am 244 on the list...a long way away. Last time a talked to Jamie he said that he is not building them per the sign-up list per say, he is building e bodies ones first and variations (bench seat, B-bodies will come later) so the numbers maybe out of order.

Please let us know when you get them installed and how they work for you. Do you know what list number you were?

Please let us know when you get them installed and how they work for you. Do you know what list number you were? Put one in, and drove the car about 50 miles today. All I can say is WOW!! First, it just slid in, just like it was a regular 833. It was like it was made for the car. Everything bolted up perfectly. Driving impression: So so smooth. No vibration. No noise. Shifts like a dream! Throws are nice and short. Shifts much nicer than any 833 I have ever shifted. And the overdrive! It makes it like a totally different car. The way it was before, I would drive about 2 hours, and be done. The noise and vibration just wore me out. I would be at 3000 rpm,s, just to cruise at 60 mph. That gets old quick. Now, about 1900-2000 rpm,s, at 60. In my application, i think in time it might pay for itself. Less $9.00 gal race gas. Easier on my motor, especially valve springs. After I get it broke-in, I will start to lean on it. I will report back then. Cant wait for the other cars to get theirs! I'm sure I will be driving my cars a lot more now....

Nice Old School!!! Can you share what your engine/trans combo is? Also, it looks like you are using the fork for the throwout bearing. Did you consider any hydraulic setup? Lastly, what header brand are you running and do you have power steering?
Oh yeah....what number on the list were you??
Thanks.
. It has a 720 horsepower 500 inch motor. It does have power steering. the headers are 2-inch tti step headers. I never considered a hydraulic clutch. I like the way the mechanical linkage feels. I don't know the number on the list but I've been on it for almost 4 years.....
