Hi, my issue is for some reason my Demon 340 started to charge at 15 volts not 14.1 for some reason. I was told by some locals to change the voltage regulator. But I wanted to ask here first. So I guess these are my questions.
1- What would cause this.
2- Could my new AGM battery have anything to do with it? It was fully charged when I put it in and is kept on a battery tender when not in use.
3- Where do I start??

I had a similar situation a few years back w/ my '67 b-body 440. I had purchased a cheap voltage regulator, and it went bad. Noticed on my voltmeter gauge that as I was driving the voltage started creeping up-14,15,16. Somebody had advised me that the voltage reg was bad. Went to NAPA and purchased a life time warranty VR; was kind of pricey. Problem went away; haven't had any overcharging issues since then. Can't speak about your battery being the problem. Maybe somebody on Moparts w/ more knowledge than I can address that issue.

fal3, Thanks for the heads up, I just ordered a new VR from Mancini racing. I think the one that is on the Demon now is pretty old by the looks of it. That is what is happening to me, I just noticed it when I replaced the Amp meter with a volt meter in the dash. Then I double checked it at the battery with a multi meter and it the same reading as the inside meter.

toss in another known good fully charged batt out of a daily driver (this will quickly elim or confirm the batt as the culprit). what voltage are you seeing at the blue sense wire at the reg triangle plug. the reg in there is it a regular one or a constant voltage one (MP 731/732) & maybe other brands. did you order a std one or a constant voltage reg from Mancini? Wouldn't hurt to clean the bulkhead.

Not sure if the new one is std. opr constant voltage. It is the mopar performance v Regulator.
