I've installed many factory Mopar NOS ones on my cars but my customer bought one from Mancini racing that is not OEM. It is impossible to install over the hex. The rubber does not give at all. Any one had any issues with these?

You have to boil them in hot water to soften them up. take the pot over to your work area they should slip right on.

Get a transmission filler funnel. Cut off the big end to just fit over the T bar. Grease up the outside of the funnel and push the seal down the funnel onto the T bar

I've never had to do this with the OEM ones, though. Are these better than OEM?

before you boil it (my choice) or stretch it (you did say it was real hard) I would measure the ID of em & the t bar hex OD (just for a quick reference to have the numberr at your fingertips as Mancini would have that info) so if it rips/tears/melts you can call them & have specs to present to them (& see if they will make it right). but I hope you can get em on right now

Well, got one one today. Boiled it and had my bud push on one end and I finally got it over the hex. It took all we had to get it done. Factory ones are much easier. If the lower control arms were already in, then I could installed them on the ground a little easier. They are still plenty tight.

I tried the microwave first and it did not help. Was afraid to leave it in very long. Some microwaves are hotter than others.

FWIW mine is a 1100 watt and i did them one at a time.

i also pushed them on in my living room which is carpeted. you will be hard pressed to slip them on by pushing down on the bar if the surface you are pushing on doesn't have any 'give'.

Well the idiots that worked this Dart before I took over the project installed the entire front end and they did not know the torsion bars are meant to go on an exact side. Hense the big L and R on the bars. They also swapped them so the numbers were at the front. So I am trying to install them from the back and THEN put the dust boots on. They are much easier to put on if you use the floor. I may have to remove the lower control arm on the remaining side.

Actually the numbers can go either way (front or rear) but I like em in the rear so if there is ever a Q on what is in there I can read it from the rear hex socket

True, but I have never removed s set of bars from a car that the factory installed with the numbers in the front.

I used a heat gun, being careful not to get too close, kept it moving in circles. Slipped right on. Get ready though. If you think that was hard, wait till you try to pop the lip of the big end around the receiver.

The seal end was easy with my Matco 90 degree pic. It slipped right on. These seal are not made out of the same stuff as OEM. They are thick and stiff. I had to install my torsion bar tool as a stop so I could push against the bar. I'm done now. What a pain.

I think they are poly urethane. At least that's what they feel like.
