Does anyone know where I can find a 3 row aluminum radiator that will cool my car? I have a 73 Dart Custom (A body) with a very hopped up 360 and the 2 row I have just doesn't cut it.... I need a OEM 3 row or an aluminum 3 row plus a fan shroud. Someone told me to go and get a 97 Lincoln Navigator radiator with the electric fans on it and that would cool very well. I open to suggestions.

Thanks...

I would suggest looking for a 26" max cooling rad from a 1974 A body. I have this in my 74 Duster360. Had it recored with 3 row core and it NEVER gets hot ! Even sitting in traffic during the summertime. . . . just my two cents worth . . .

A 2 row aluminum radiator with 1" tubes (like the Summit, etc ones) should cool that fine. If you already are using one, what are you using for a fan and shroud ?

I replaced the OEM 22" (ditched it) and went to a 26" and that was fine for the 318... I look around for the 26" 3 row. Thanks

I'm using just a 2 row 26" replacement radiator. The new 360 (425hp) motor just run too hot for some reason. The timing is perfect and all is new with the motor. The only thing I don't have is the fan shroud. I even had the radiator pressure tested and cleaned just to play it safe. The cars temp can run around 205-220...

Shrouds are important. What fan do you have, what temp stat & may I ask what is your timing. & WHEN does it get too hot, around town, out on the hiway. You might pull the stat for(1) day to see if it's restricted but I would guess as you mentioned more radiator. EDIT & the plugs look good(mixture)

As said, a shroud is the key...

A 2 core aluminum radiator with either a proper fitting shroud/fan combo or a good electric setup should do the trick

I used an electric fan from a late model T-bird on a Summit radiator and it was a perfect fit and the car would never get warm.
Also used a mechanical fan/shroud combo on another car with a Summit radiator and with the a/c on in the middle of summer the car could sit and idle all day long with no problems.

A good clutch style fan, a shroud, and an edlebrock water pump should cover most any streetable engine assuming the rest of the system is operating properly.

I found a new stock replacement fan shroud from ebay and it matched up perfectly... With the shroud on the motor runs consistantly around 180-190 deg. I guess you can say that I'm a believer in the fan shroud. The air flow is impressive and it's not going all over the place as before. Thanks for all of the suggestions!

Is that with the 2 row radiator or did you allready get a 3 row.

Show's you how much difference a shroud makes. You didn't need the 3 row OR the alumium one
