without sounding like a "negitive nancy", i'm going to say your best course of action would be to gut a correct battery for your application and install a small, yet powerful new style battery inside your old case. just getting a couple years from a correct restoration battery for the price they charge is just not worth it in my opinion. your results and opinion may [and probably will] vary.

I bought a couple from http://www.antiqueautobattery.com/

My yellow top is almost 6 years old and my red top is almost 5. No issues so far.

Remy just bought Turbo-start, they will be back to offering their maintenance free batteries soon.

Any of these work great if you are disciplined to keep putting them on a maintenance type charger...I use the new 8-step CTek charger which really seems to work great. I have had resto batteries in all my cars over the years and haven't been stranded yet.

I did lose one...to a lightning strike at the house which traveled up the line of the charger and took out the battery and voltage regulator on my charger!
