That is a limited slip diff, not a locker. Maybe you used the "locker" term as slang? I bought one of those from a local self serve yard...It made grinding noises from the start! I'll be the Dakota mine came from was beat to death before it reached the yard. Hopefully you'll have better luck. I have had some of that also. what looks good is not always good. LOL! most everything in my mopar life has been u-pull used and I get the last drop of life from it. but some days you find a piece that gives a long service life for cheap. just think? if it were not for cheap u-pull parts I could not have/build/drive the MOPAR junk I love daily!

kind of like saying "posi" then all the king cobras rare up and strike----got to be some other injustice bigger than that....... I'd NEVER say posi. I can't stand the chebbys. I work for a guy that is ALL chebby, is part of AC delco board, has been a chebby dealer. And I'm almost done. All we do is ac delco, our parts, our training, our uniforms, it's soooo...... old. Shove it down our throat.

I always wanted the limited slip unit for my Dakota.... How did the computer work out? Computer seems to work great. It's runs much better than the stock one. You'd better be pointed straight if you decide to stomp on the right pedal! With the computer, 3.73's and the unit, along with the 3.5 inch exhaust it runs pretty good. Was getting on the interstate ramp tonight I pushed the right pedal too hard and went side ways in traffic. I had fun but I don't think the folks around me thought it was funny!

Sweet! When did they start stamping the ratio verses the pinion/ring gear tooth count? Got a set of Dana 3.54s that have the date and gear size 1968

Cool! Sounds like you are having fun with it! It made a big difference in my truck. Living at 6000 feet, I was able to run regular in the winter. The summer required premium. I can't run regular. It's 93 or higher or it pings really bad. I can't wait to see how a 5.9 runs in it.
