Hi, I'm looking to build a belly pan instead of using a diaper. I can use either steel or aluminum, what thickness does it need to be, how tall of a lip needs to be around pan? Any other tips would be appreciated. Jim

Please check the rules,,,,but I remember something to the effect of a few inches IFO crank damper to a few inches past the oil pan, valve cover to valve cover and 2 inches tall with absorbant.

I would like to do a pan also, but I use the 40 year old Super stock pan with 2 oil pick up lines. It will be need to bee a little more creative to fab up a pan.

HEMI-ITIS has no cure.
My condition is fully BLOWN!!

Thanks, I'll look a little harder on NHRA site. I have one of those super stock pans on my 64 Dodge, a Charlies, that kicks out on the bottom right up against the headers, really tight. My Avenger is a tube car and a pan should be pretty simple to do once the engine shows up. Jim.
