Have any of you racers bought and run any of the "Cat" brand Big block aluminum water pump housings? Afraid they are cheap China junk and may have issues? Any feedback appreciated.... Thanks!

I bought a new one at a swap meet a few years ago. I always thought Cat was a rip-off ov Scat (their rods were anyways, when they first came out), thus cheaper quality, but the price was right so i hit it. I gotta say, though i haven't mounted or run it yet, this thing looks NICE. On looks/fit alone, its a nicer product than the Mopar one and whatever other brand i've seen (cant remember now). The thing looks like it would seal without gaskets. Mine was completely unmarked and in its original box, and i had to actually read the instruction paper that came with it, in the small print to find the (Cat) brand name.

Just curious, what's the weight difference between the iron & aluminum housing? I've always run the factory iron one.
