If you come over to the Chicago area anytime soon I have 64, 66, 67 68, 69, 78, 92, and 93 trucks laying around that you can check out...

I just finished making what I think are all the radiator and frame rail splash shields for 72-79 dodge trucks. There are 4 different versions of just the splash shields on the top of the radiator. 2 different below. And 3 different frame rail splash shields.
So I have a few questions.
1) there are flat metal clips, not the wire push in clips, that hold the large flat splash shields to the frame rails on the 72-79? trucks. I could use a good picture of one of those and approx dimensions. I'm looking to have those made from stainless like the stainless wire form push clips I had made. I'd actual like to buy one or two or trade.
2) I'd like to ID all the different splash shields as to what years/models they are from and any differences from the all the ones I have. I'll add pictures in a bit.
3) lastly I'd like to buy any 61-71 or 82-93 truck splash shields. I'd also replace with new ones.
Thanks Jim Fillmore
Jim - I will try and get you some info on the flat clips Auveco made them until about 3 years ago and I believe I kept a few in my personal items. I believe Auveco still makes a similar clip without the rubber on the end also.

Would you be interested in the inner fenders to frame flaps off a 91 Dakota 2x4? I have a fairly decent set here I could offer up. Gene Can you take a picture of the Dakota splash shields?

That is a 70-71 grille on that PW, though probably the same for 69. Yep. While I was looking at stuff I was interested in the other guys were comparing the differences and similarities between 68-71 trucks. Wish i had time to get over to Chicago. Isn't there a Mopar show coming up soon?

So below are 4 versions of radiator splash shields for 72-79 trucks.
The top smallest ones came off a 79 Lil Red. I've seen these without the oval holes (for the overflow tube) either not cut at all or perf cut so they can be popped out if needed.
The 2nd pic is another version of the small ones.
the 3rd and fourth picture I'm assuming is for an A/C truck or big block truck to enhance airflow. Tht is JUST a guess. Any help why there is a difference between using the small radiator shields and these large ones would be appreciated. ALSO note the only difference between the 3rd and 4th picture are the widths of the lower "legs". On the one in the 4th picture the "leg" has 2 clip holes.
Any help identifying years/models/reasons for use would again be appreciated. So best I can tell from the ones we have always sold - 1st one - is for a 79 with a coolant overflow tank 2nd one - is for a 78 with a coolant overflow tank 3rd and 4th - we only have one version of but it has been used on 72-80 withOUT a coolant tank. I have no idea whether it was engine size or AC that caused trucks to have coolant tanks or not but there seems to be a mix/variety of configurations out there. http://www.dodgeconnection.com/page/page/2901770.htm

Frame rail splash shields for 78-79 (80 & 81 too? Can anyone confirm?). These were off a 79. I have a BUNCH of sets. Most were is TERRIBLE shape. I was able to pick up an NOS version of this one. The large round hole is for power steering hoses. That was perf cut (that can be torn out later is needed) on the NOS one probably for manual steering trucks. I'm going to perf cut mine too. Theres a 72-77 set with the holes on the drivers side a little different. I have that tool too.
Looks correct for 78-80 as fas as I know and yes the earlier year was slightly different and we also carry a 81-87 style that I can get pictures of for you

Good info but darn. The tools and time are costly for a 1 or 2 year only part. Really, the lower radiator seals are 79 only? I made those for a 79 Lil Red.
I'd like to get a 60's truck radiator and shock area splash shields. Or at least see some original pieces. The radiator piece I show above was on a 69 318 non AC truck. Can you come over to Sweptline.org and register? There are a few guys that have a huge collection that may be able to help you break it down. I have 1 shock shield from my 68 318 4-speed truck. I can bring it to Carlisle for you. The rad seal that I got from DodgeConnection doesn't seem to be for my truck. I assume that it is some variation of Sweptline, but it doesn't seem to be for mine. BTW that is not a complaint or jab, just mentioning.

Just like this site a lot of good people and they are dedicated to the older trucks.
