I bought my 07 hemi ram used a year ago the day after i bought it I had a red dummy light come on it was a lightning bolt surounded by ( ). After I had shut the truck off and started it again it was gone. I took it back to the dealership and they talked to the techs and after a quick look they said it was nothing major but if it happened again to bring it back in. Well today I was at work and went out 10 min early to start it and let it warm up. I came back out when I was leaving and noticed it was running real rough. Got in and looked at the guages and that same light was flashing at me and it was idling at 1200-1300 RPM...Gave it a little gas and it didnt go away. So I shut it off and restarted and all is fine again. Is this something I should be worried about and have checked out? And if I get it looked at and the light isnt physically on are they even going to find anything wrong?

Thanks for any advice or tips in advance

It's a problem with the ETC, Electronic Throttle Control. Eventually the throttle will probably have no response at all.

I would check to see if there are any fault codes with a code reader.

It is the electronic throttle body. Did the same thing in my '04 Hemi Ram. Did not come and go just went! When it goes you do not have any control over the throttle. Limped mine to the dealer at 27MPH. That's what the computer let it do. Get it replaced ASAP before you are too far away to limp it anywhere.
