Has anyone converted an A-body power steering to manual steering? Can you just remove the power steering pump, brackets and power steering box. Install manual box. That's it? Steering column the same? Pitman arm interchangeable? Car is a 70 340 swinger.

Not sure about the pitman arm so I bought a new one for my swap. The steering collumm is going to be too short so you will need the adapter/coupler which can be bought from Mancini's or Flaming River or other places.

My demon has a 512 RB stroker which has as much aluminum as possible. The RB weighs in slightly heavier than the small block. Steers fine and dosn't seem to be any problems in parking lots. Needed room for the TTI's which slipped in with No problems. Adapter went in easily. So far ,so good.
