Just a heads up, Monster Mopar at Norwalk now includes the xtreme outlaw series this year on July 29 and 30.
This means it will include brand x cars predominantly Mustangs. This may change come race day. Something usually does. See you there!

I was hoping to get a post out about this first but I see that social media on a Sunday moves faster than I do.

It's true - the Xtreme Outlaw Series lost their facility they were racing at last year and needed a place to race this year. I was able to help them with that.

Here's the plan.
They have 4 heads up classes. Limited street, x275, Ultimate Street and MX235

We knew we didn't have time to include all their index classes

Roughly 12-15 cars per class. They are mostly brand X cars it is true but they are not their to participate in any of the Monster Mopar Classes...but if a Mopar wanted to jump in and race with them that is fine.
They will qualify and make their first round of eliminations on Friday leaving just a few rounds of racing through Saturday

Its far more about helping a good grass roots organization continue their growth. The series pays for it self and they provide their own tech and support staff.

Further more, im pretty sure every racer I know has latched on to really getting enjoyment out of watching the heads up small tire racing that now provides the most exciting racing we have seen in years.

Our goal is to not upset the loyal Mopar participants but help the sport.

I have no issue seeing these classes run. However with the normal amount of cars at this event it is PACKED anyway. Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Big Dog, N/SS, Hemi, KOS, and is there 10.0? Counting the additional 4 classes that's 12. I foresee missed time trials and Chaos. Lets hope not.

No issue here either. If fact it could be refreshing to see some of these classes live and in action to bring something other to the event. I also would hope no interference in any of the Mopar classes in either time trials, gamblers races or eliminations. I'm sure there could be time as long as we are not cutting off racing at 5 PM!

Also may want to think about parking - maybe this added group could all be put together on the opposite side of the track? Just a thought.

Parking is a BIG issue at this race ESPECIALLY with the big "you can't park here area guy". I showed up early to get a nice spot and while pulling in someone comes running over to me screaming YOU CAN'T PARK HERE. What a monkey azz he was. I guess the one class gets a SPECIAL area roped off and all weekend long many of those spots remained open.

I always enjoy the heads up cars.

Just need to kibosh the saving of pits spots.

I think the large area was for the Nostalgia cars. They must have to save that area for the oldtimers so they are closer to the bathrooms. LOL. A spot or two for your buddies I'm cool with but this was extreme.

I almost ran a guy over once trying that "cant park here" crap. Tough $#!t. First come first serve. Lucky the knuckle head jumped out of the way.

this spells cluster f@@@. not a single XOS race was finished last year for one reason or another...they require long turn around between rounds, and need 5 guys and 5 mins. to stage a car...MISTAKE... lots of mopar guys who race these events are once a year mopar only event racers.. it should go over very well for the future of MM by pissin those guys off.
good luck!!!

I agree with others. No issue with other brands but parking will be an issue. Was trying to decide whether to go to the Nats or this event. I will take a wait and see approach and hopefully this will be addressed.
Maybe the non-mopar class can all pit on the spectator side and this will help.

Ok

That is the preliminary plan is to park all the cars together on the opposing side of the track. Close to the staging lanes that are unused by us at this time.

Josh that is good to know. Just keep us posted as to the developments. I do want to attend and BrandX wont keep me away as long as it doesnt affect the Mopar Programs time trials and scheduled racing.

We are going to park them as a group on the spectator side of the track we hope. Remember this gets run mostly on Friday. Which we are done fairly early every Friday. They will have a few rounds of eliminations to complete first half of the day Saturday.

I'm also anticipating being a few racers short due to the date change, but then again we may pick up racers due to the summer as well.

None the less we have ran the numbers and we won't have a problem getting them in.

We also shouldn't experience as much end of year breakage and with the DA not being as good as typically seen in September, I assume folks won't be trying to set personal bests, keeping some breakage down as well.

In addition our evenings will be better suited for later racing if need be

X275 and breakage go hand in hand. This is my 5th year of MMW, as long as I can still park on the grass side of the back 40 and be away from people, i'll have no problem dealing with the bellybutton mustangs. I love racing, just hate people.
