Started to build this thing 2 years ago, and got distracted with other engines, and projects. I even tried to sell all the parts at a good deal for someone, to no avail.

So now I'm going to put it together and see what it makes. Then find a chassis or rail for it when I'm done.

The motor is a 572 roots blown hemi for either alky, or C85

The parts are all new, except for the head castings, and having been sitting around the shop for a couple years now.

KB block, with standard height 54.5 tunnel, 1/2" studs and double side bolts. 4.507 bore.

Bryant, rem finished, center weighted, BBC rod X Chry main.

Oliver max 7.1 rods

C+A Ross 11:1 piston with a dikes top ring

Mild solid roller

jesel 1" tie bar TS tappets.

1/2 to 7/16 pushrods

Stage V big valve heads with moldstar 90 seats, Ti intakes, and inconel ex.

T+D rockers 1.7/1.6

Indy blower manifold

Milodon gear drive

RCD oil pump, and olsen dragster pan

littlefield 14/71 blower standard helix, single strip, cast anodized rotor.

BAU progressive linkage hat

8 160# Bosch alky injectors in the top, and 8 in the manifold

Waterman little bertha pump cam driven.

RCD trigger, hub, and magnetic wheel.

FAST EFI

All the efi stuff came from Rich at fastman.

The plan is to have 2 separate programs for either C85, or Alky.

Planning for 15-20 pounds of boost, and hoping it's north of 1500.

Looks cool!Do you sand the valve pockets at all on the pistons?

No, C85 and alky aren't prone to detonate, so I didn't bother.

Doesn't look like you should have any problem reaching your goal. Nice build.

Will be following with interest, as we are contemplating a switch from the procharger to a roots/alcohol deal. Good luck with the build.

Let me know when you're ready and I'll send you an XFI program for that beast.

Hey Fred! How the heii are ya man? I'd rather be less hopeful about power, than suffer from disappointment lol.

Rich, that would be a HUGE help towards getting it right, and not cooking something in the process. I may have to swap the injector wiring back to standard firing order, as the cam isn't 4/7 swap. Not sure what's the correct way to do that.

I still haven't bought a regulator, and I'm glad, as it appears they just keep getting nicer the longer I wait. Any favorite, for a 15 gpm pump ?

If you are going to run methanol you'll have to use a mechanical fuel pump and a regulator built for methanol. It's a matter of being able to maintain the EFI fuel pressure at the high methanol flow rates. And of course all the fuel lines have to be PTFE lined. Finally, if you use a cylinder top lube for the alky, make sure you use one that will not damage the O2 sensor. Most are not compatible - just check.

Swapping pins in the injector connector is pretty easy with several videos on YouTube.

You should be able to change injector firing order in the set up tables.

Cool build.

Sorry, yes I got both, and bought another one that had been made I think like 7-8 years ago and was never used.

The tall deck KB for my 670 nitrous predator is at Wj's getting honed, and clearanced right now. I have every single part for that one on the shelf. I'll start on it as soon as I finish this one.

The pump is a mechanical waterman alky little bertha, so no worries there. Just have to choose a good bypass reg. Either magna, or aero I'm thinking.

I've never seen an O2 safe top lube. Do you know of one?

I'll swap pins for wire routing issues, instead of changing it in the program.

Also Rich, I'd still like to have an idle program for gasoline, so after running it on either alcohol, i can swap to gas to dry the motor out, and protect the fuel system. Thanks for the support Rich.

Cool, thanks Rich I'll use that. The C85 is the least corrosive ethanol fuel I've yet seen. When it evaporates it leaves a yellow oily residue, instead of the usual chalky mess.
