http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mopar-Performance-Right-Angle-Oil-Filter-Adapter-P5249624-1967-91-Small-Block-/221998985430?hash=item33b02bb0d6:g:7ycAAOSwLnlWnVxa&vxp=mtr 80 bucks. Don't know if that's a deal. Haven't bought one for years. No bolt with it. I did see a bolt at another place for $60. I don't understand. It's still showing in the Mopar Performance catalog along with R3s and other goodies. Are you telling me that the catalog is not up to date?

I have one that belongs to a friend in my garage somewhere. No centre bolt for it though. I didn't think anyone over here in Aus would buy it, so I haven't done anything with it.

The bolt and the gasket set used to be available for sale as two different part numbers as well as the entire assembly. There was two different bolts available over the years one with the oil passages next to each other and one with the passages staggered , the one with the staggered passages is stronger, ask me how I know?

There are a few bolts out there still for sale for $60 give or take. That could be made. The adapters are scarce. How can MP stop doing these?
Nevermind. Dumb question.

Put a remote filter on it.. way easier to change the filter and you end up with more oil in the system just make the lines big enough EDIT you can buy all the parts needed from Summit.. the plate that mounts on the engine and the remote filter set up.. make your own lines with a radiused turn for flow ALSO..on a R3 dont you have the mains priority oiling (the inlet of the oil at the front china rail)

Andy F has used a set of extentions on his 427 small block build. I think the company is Bo Laws Performance. Matt

Externally it looks pretty much the same as any 340 block, internally is a different story.

I assume it oils just like a stock block so you wont have the front oil inlet

It's a passage in the front china wall that goes straight down to the main oil passage that runs along the lifter bores and feeds the mains. My R1 has the boss but is not drilled. It must have it.... The only difference between the R3 race and R3 resto is the extra head bolt bosses are milled off of the resto. You can see on my block where they were shaved.
