If you are using any of the MP solid flat tappet cams with .620" lift or less, start at .022" IN/.026" EX (cold) lash and .028"/.032" (hot) lash. The higher lift flat tappets would be (cold) .018/.022 and (hot) lash would be .024/.028.

I set them at .020 cold and check them hot. .022 hot is PLENTY of lash. Any more than that is just bashing parts.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

I believe that this is also what Ma Mopar recommended as well.

I run a .018 on all of my MP cams.. both intake and
exhaust.. have been for 15 years now.. thats both
on alum and iron heads.. never burnt a valve yet..
I hated how sloppy they sounded with .028 lash...
plus at the tighter lash it has always made more power
on my junk
EDIT
All my cams are rollers
wave
