PLUM BAD enthusiast Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 287 So. IL. USA	I used a chop saw on my last one. I have also used a sawzaw(SP) and a large hose clamp to mark the cut. Don't cut exactly at the clamp, use a grinder and grind up to the clamp to keep the end of the tube true.

TMP66 super stock T Joined: May 2003 Posts: 961 .	I prefer a horizontal bandsaw. Nice slow, clean square cut. Chop saws work but tend to flex and flare out at the end of the cut.

It might be a good idea to clean the housing around where the wheel rides to maintain an accurate cut, but -- thats the ticket for a square cut IMO
