No actual exp with em but I'd be more worried about the quality of the module as opposed to anything else. You could always swap in a good one, I dont see a problem with that

I am assuming there msd knock offs. I am curios if anyone has used them with luck. Or is it a get what you pay for deal. the 'Skip White' ones? i have one and it is actually a nice unit. i tried one cause of the price but it did have a vacuum advance so on the street it sucks. my issue, not the unit. my only gripe was the where it fits into the oiler. to tight but since i wasn't going to use it anymore it didn't bother grinding it.

Not sure if they are the same ones, but a co-worker bought one. He had to exchange it as the pickup didn't work. Second one worked and has been running for a year now.

Big issue is getting a replacement cap.... Just my $0.02... Then you better stick with a stock distributor. I don't change many caps or rotors in the life of the vehicle.

My biggest concern is having to need parts for it. With my luck, anything cheap will break at the worst time. \ But isn't that like the cheapo harbor freight grinders? Throw it away and get another brand new one.....
