Are there many air cleaners with a drop base for a dominator? Looking to get one and was just curious as to how much drop to make sure for hood clearance.

Not really. I ended up buying the K&N one because I couldn't anything else out there.

Probably get the six pack hood on it, order that drop assembly and measure for the filter height.

Moroso used to offer one........not sure they still do

Not to hijack, but I have a 2" drop base air Domi air cleaner that I cant use - I'm pretty sure its a Universal Spinners one. Its a pretty nice and lightweight piece.

C&S Specialties also has them, and even has them with an offset base for clearance.

This is the Universal brand drop base cleaner...16", if I remember correctly. Very well made. Don't know what your combo is, but on mine the top rubs the '68 race Hemi style scoop just a little, but i can live with that for now. I have yet to order the correct size filter.

I just can`t see that helping air flow...............fitment MAYBE but air flow............?
