Whats the deal with the anti spin limited slip in these new trucks? I bought a '15 1500 with anti-spin on the window sticker and when I have the rear end off the ground and in park, I spin one wheel and the other behaves like an open diff by spinning opposite.

I looked over the interwebs and saw that Dodge started using American Axle trackrite diffs with worm gears and not clutch packs in 2500 and 3500's and those behave like opens when tested like I did.

I'm wondering if they started putting this unit in the 1500's as of '14 models.

Or do I have a missing /bad limited slip in my 1 yr old truck.

The abs can also be used to apply the brakes on either side to help with tire spin.

I didn't look in the glove box but my window sticker and the build sheet online shows Anti-spin. Just expected it to act like the standard clutch type trac lok when on jacks.

I'm not finding definative data but I think it might be an American Axle trackrite which uses worm gears, not clutches. And they behave like open diffs when on stands. They put that style in the 3/4 and 1 tons in earlier years while the 1500 had clutches. Perhaps they ended up installing them in 1500's recently.
