I am having Todd at Marsh Performance build my motor for me. after reading about the motor he built for moparts member Tig, I knew I wanted him to build mine. It specs:
588 ci indy aluminum block indy 572-13 heads 410-420 cfm diamond gas port pistons 4.5" bore 13.5-1 cr callies 4.625 crank cam motion solid roller 282/290@.050 .800/.751 indy 3x intake 1150 dominator isky xmax bushed lifters jesel 1.7 rocker arms oliver rods 7.100"
this is going in my 68 formula S fastback cuda. it is a 4 speed car, with a 3.73 moser dana 60. it also has a hemi denny front coil over front end.im hoping for about 3200 pounds. this is a street car only.
anybody want to guess the hp and tq for motor? I'm hoping for 900hp and 800 tq. Todd will dyno it, so I will know what it makes, and will post the results. I should have it very soon!

No expert hear but your goal sounds pretty doable to me. Going to be a ridiculous ride with a 5 spd!!! What kind of tranny are u going with?

what suspension under it? Good luck with it. It has a Hemi Denny coil over up front. HD leaf springs out back.

You better get some suspension and tires. It's all I can do to get my 572 to hook on 10.5's at the track. That should be 8 second power at 3200. Doug its just a street car. it does have 275/60 15,s. I think I can put the next size up tire on it thou. it still has room....

If nothing else you will be the burnout king in your neighborhood. I'm already that with the other cars... it will have a fiberglass hood, with a ss style scoop. it also has fiberglass bumpers, lightweight brackets, deck lid. it has lightweight willwood brakes front and rear. with the aluminum motor and coil over front end, I am hoping for about 3200 pounds.... maybe that will help a little with traction

Hey Old School, I hope you are doing great my friend!
Have you thought about getting Todd and my buddy Larry Smith to port a mopar 337 for you?
It might fit under the hood and it might be as good or better on a mild big motor as the indy
Just a thought....heres a pic of the 337 Larry did for my 517

Hi Bobby I am doing well buddy! I believe that is who Todd has porting my heads for me. I think I will have them port a 337. When we dyno, I will have them test the 337 and the 3x. On a motor this size it will probably be a big difference between the two.
Do you live near Todd? I was at his shop Friday.....
