I'm trying to see if the engine I have in my superbee matches the vin. how do i do that?

Look at the VIN pad on the engine. It is down by the oil pan rail on the passenger side on a big block.

Unless the OP has a 71 340 Superbee, then it's below the drivers side head, stamped on the block smile

Or a 68 that didn't have one or had it on the bellhousing flange.

I thought the pad was down on the passenger side on SBs as well? Did they change in 71?
