I would like to get one of the Champion radiators and want to get it correct the first time. Did my 68 Runner have a 26 or 22 inch. 383 A/T no A/c P/S or P/B. Where do you take the Measurment at? The core opening is at 22 1/2. Should be the 22in unit yes,no maybe?? A pic is worth a thousand words.. Thanks. Pro or con on these units also..

I believe that would be 22. I had a 2 row Champion in my 318 DD ($189 to my door/eBay) & it cooled fine tho a 318 DD would not tax its cooling capabilities. I had to redrill one mounting hole in the dr side flange. I've heard the cooling tubes ain't as big as some rads which was not an issue for me but might be with you and reportedly some of em arrive & ain't flat and the welds are poor. reportedly they have addressed those issues tho I'm sure a bad one could slip thru & the guy on here who sells em offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee & you cant beat that exc for the down time & likely your nickel on the shipping return. I would ask if it has provisions to use a schroud & in your case get a 3 row & I think you'll be happy. Gotta paint em they do look unsightly! Short version: quality control has been dramatically improved/many people are very happy with em. You might also check what Speedway Motors has to offer (& they do mailorder also)

If you go to championradiators.com they list the dimensions and have pictures.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.
