I was looking on e-bay this evening, and I found an auction for a "door panel arm rest pull cup", which apparently mounts in the handle behind the arm pad. (See link to auction below.) I've never seen these before.

My car does not have these, so I'm not sure if I'm missing them, or if it's not a real part???

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOPAR-70-71-E-BODY-CUDA-AAR-HEMI-440-METAL-INTERIOR-DOOR-PANEL-ARM-REST-PULL-CUP-/121853703256?hash=item1c5f0bf458:g:3WkAAOSwwbdWMCeT&vxp=mtr#ht_806wt_1238

Does anyone else have these installed in their car?

All of the E-Bodies I have and had were equipped with them. If any are not, then they were removed and not put back on for whatever reason. Can't believe he has the gall to charge $60 for the part and then charges another $5 for shipping. mad

No kidding.

I looked in the 70/71 parts book and didn't see them in the illustrated guide, so I wasn't sure. I never knew these existed and that mine were missing!

You have to have them in the door panel. The 2 screws that hold it to the inner frame allows you to pull the door closed without pulling the door panel off.

you have them..the door lock knob attaches to the shaft that goes thru it..its the area where you place coins and stuff in , back in the old days...with out it, you will see right thru the door panels.. besides without the 2 screws in the middle, the door pad assy will pull off the door

Cuda and Challenger are different

The ones posted on ebay are the correct cuda style

Also metal for all 1970 models and most 1971

Mopar changed the wells to plastic sometime in 1971 therefore ALL 1972-74 models use plastic version

Metal wells in factory colors other than black that are in excellent original condition can be difficult to find

gofastboater and AARCONV...you are correct, they are there. I had to brave the cold and go check my car this morning. I never noticed them before.

It made sense when you guys said you could see through the door panel without them in place, and I didn't remember this being the case on my car.

I learn something new about these cars every day...thanks everyone! smile

Hopefully so. I've have yet to take an E-Body completely apart to see all the different parts/assemblies, so I'm figuring this out as I go along...

416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out.
11.06 open headers----so far!!

Thanks guys. smile

I'm very fortunate to have found this website and really appreciate that you are all willing to share your knowledge to promote and advance the hobby. There is no way I'd know as many details without everyone here! I'll keep asking!
