Who has the best wheel well trim for like a 69 super bee? I have gotten classic's ones for my dads 72 cuda that took a lot to get to fit with having to work them to the body to point one has small stress marks in the finish. Ordered up a set for the 67 notch back I am doing and test fit them to it and actually sent them back. So not wanting to do that on the super bee I am doing. Who makes good ones or is it probably the same company and we should just steer away from them? Guy is on the fence if he wants them on the car or not.

thanks

Of course your best bet would be to look for NOS ones. Even if you have to buy them 1 by 1. I did that with my 69 Dart. It took me several months to put a set together but I finely did. In my opinion all the repo ones are crap. If the car's owner is on the fence about putting them on the car or not, let him be the one to look for them. I do see them from time to time on E-bay. Sometimes just a single, sometimes two, and occasionally a complete set.

The "best" of the reproduction 1969 Super Bee Wheel Opening Trim I have found were from Stephens Performance. They fit pretty good, but even they have flattened formed areas near the "crease" formed area that lines up with the body character line. The trick to getting them to fit was starting at one end when screwing them to the wheel opening, and "walking" them around the rest of the opening, because they are so flimsy and twisted out of the package. I used them for an A12 driver and they were sufficient.

Years ago during the peak of the high price madness, I purchased a set of NOS, and paid a fortune for them, because they were intended for a Hemi Bee restoration I was planning. But I sold the car, and never used them. I still have 'em. PM me if your client is interested, but I must warn you...they will be expen$ive.

In my opinion, the moldings look good on a Bee, and give the car more of a finished look.

I can say I bought a set from metro and they sucked and I sent them back. I am pretty sure they sold out to classic industries. I have no other personal input but have read a few post that say the ones from Dales cuda shop were good, but can't say for sure.

Be careful when buying "NOS" ones, or at least advertised as such. I bought a set (and paid dearly for them) and at least one of them is a re-pop that was switched out.

Thanks guys! I know the ones we got for both the 72 cuda and the 67 cuda were I believe from Metro through Classic and I have no desire to go that route again. Not sure on the NOS ones but will be looking into them if possible to see if thats an option for the customer. I will check into Dales Cuda shop to see if he has the B body styles and what they say about them.

Just emailed Dales Cuda shop and got a very quick response back. Sounds like I will give his a try if we go with the moldings. Thanks everyone and I will post views if we go with them.
