G-Money1320 OP top fuel Joined: May 2007 Posts: 1,675 Mi.	Does anyone have a close weight of a bare 383 block or a small block 727 trans with convertor? I am looking at getting shipping quotes but have no way to weigh them. Thanks and Happy New Year everyone!! dartman366 I Live Here Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 13,247 Mt. Vernon, Ohio	According to AndyF's book a stock bare block will weigh in around 225#, don't know about a 727 and converter. Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

I dont have ANY BB stuff to weigh...but I would guess its within 30# of a SB EDIT I show a weight of 128# for a standard 727.. no conv.. this is from some old paper work when I was building my race car and the Rampage..
