T7 - "saddle bronze metallic" paint, M6T - tan bucket seat interior, V1T - "saddle bronze" vinyl top

I'm returning a tan interior (everything is currently black - replaced or spray-bombed) to a heavily OPTIONED 1969 Road Runner coupe built in LA - RM21H9E.

What color was the original carpet? Anyone know the proper Legendary/ACC carpet color number?

I thought 4-speed cars were black?

Anyway, found this on Barry's site:

The factory color in the 1969 trim guide is "Dark Tan"

Beat me to it...4 speed carpet would be black except not if you have a console with colored interior.

1 red with console( 69 GTX )
1 blue with console ( 69 GTX )
1 blue with bench seat ( 1970 Superbee )

A 70 Supe Bee is not a 69 Road Runner
As the chart shows, 4 speed non console cars got a black carpet.
The same rules apply to 69 Darts. My 69 Dat Swinger 340 4 speed had a 100% original interior.
Tan interior with black carpet. That's how they came,

Does your 69 Swinger 340 have an optional deluxe upgraded interior (if that was possible)? I thought a 69 Swinger would get black rubber mat with the standard interior.

No rubber mats in a 4-spd car.

It's not a debate. The factory literature tells us what is correct.

If the factory literature was accurate then there would be no debate.

How about some pictures of D21 tags with corresponding interior shots other than white seats. I have a hunch the only thing we will find will be RM21 cars with tan over black and blue over black.

Dan, I believe 100% your carpet should be tan.

If it's the green convertible 4 speed with the bucket seat and console shown in the OP's attachment, the carpet would definitely be dark tan. There should be no question about that car?

What would be the compelling reason to give stick cars a generic carpet while color-matching automatics?
