The factory color in the 1969 trim guide is "Dark Tan"
Beat me to it...4 speed carpet would be black except not if you have a console with colored interior.

I thought 4-speed cars were black?
Dont believe everything you hear.
I've owned 3 cars with 4 spds and color inteior. None were black carpet, 1 red with console( 69 GTX ) 1 blue with console ( 69 GTX ) 1 blue with bench seat ( 1970 Superbee )
all original interior cars
A 70 Supe Bee is not a 69 Road Runner As the chart shows, 4 speed non console cars got a black carpet. The same rules apply to 69 Darts. My 69 Dat Swinger 340 4 speed had a 100% original interior. Tan interior with black carpet. That's how they came,

No rubber mats in a 4-spd car.

It's not a debate. The factory literature tells us what is correct. This debate will never end

It's not a debate. The factory literature tells us what is on occasion correct. If the factory literature was accurate then there would be no debate.

How about some pictures of D21 tags with corresponding interior shots other than white seats. I have a hunch the only thing we will find will be RM21 cars with tan over black and blue over black.
Dan, I believe 100% your carpet should be tan.

If it's the green convertible 4 speed with the bucket seat and console shown in the OP's attachment, the carpet would definitely be dark tan. There should be no question about that car? I agree I had a F8 Tan interior RR Vert Console 4 speed Tan Carpet
