Still do not like this. The Johnsons are good racers and true Mopar people. I wonder went really went on.

I dont know what happened between the Johnsons
and mopar but they went their separate ways for
what ever reasons.. to keep mopar in PS they need
to have wins... or they might drop out of PS all
together... mopar doesnt seem to be into racing now
days so if they get the wins they MIGHT stay in it..
I do wish that the Johnsons were still with mopar..
but it is what it is

This is the moment where the "business" made more sense than loyalty. The star power bottled up in this new team far exceeds that of Allen, Roy, and team. It just sucks for Allen and for all of us fans that appreciate the history of his family and his brand loyalty. This is why I'm hoping this new sponsorship he spoke of comes through so that he can have the best sponsorship he and Roy have ever had. With all of the new changes, they will need the extra cash to be able to test and refine this new combo.

Side note: How awesome would it be to see Allen and V. Gaines team up. They could keep the separate engine programs but let Allens team set up both cars. Either way, the shared data would help both cars. Fan dreaming over lol

It will be interesting to see how they go with making power from the Hemi engine. Jeggie's last stint with Mopar he leased engines from the Johnson's. Whether that was more of a business decision, rather than an ability decision, I don't know. I do also find it interesting that Elite has acquired Patterson racing, whether outright or in part, I'm not sure.

But I'm glad to see Mopar in PS for 2016

Nick Ferri was Jegs engine guy when Jeg first started running a Dodge and could not get the thing to run. Then Jeg went to J&J for engines. It will be interesting to see if he can make some power this time through. He has always been good with the DRCE3/4 stuff.

Just one more reason for me to NOT care one [censored] about NHRA Pro Stock. The retarded EFI rules, the IGNORANT, INCOMPETENT rev limiter rule, losing the hood scoop and all for what? To keep the cost down? Give me a F'ing break. None of what they did will lower costs. If NHRA didn't wait to kiss the backside of Holley and just said ANY EFI, scoop or no scoop or you can still use the carb...that would have been something cool. But they (NHRA) has once again, pulled an ASScar move to keep an old guard company (Holley) viable and relevant while disregarding what I thought drag racing to be all about...........................COMPETITION.

NHRA can bite me.
Dodge can just go straight to hell for what they have done to the Johnson family over the years (I won't post what I know because it was told to me, in confidence, from the SOURCE and I'm not going to bother to call Roy and ask his permission to post my remarks about our private conversations)

I don't know EE but from what I see, I doubt we could be in a room for 5 minutes together.
And Jeg is a Bona Fide cheater who just hasn't been caught..............lately.

Nope, I will watch Street Outlaws and SOLA and forget about the poorly run, ignorantly ruled Glendora knave factory.

Sorry I watched/participated for so long.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

Well, I hope the knave factory puts on a good show next year. Wish they had listened to AJ and canned the rev limiter and the wheelie bars. At least ESPN2 is gone.

I have a lot of respect and admiration for Roy and Alan Johnson.
Their loyalty to MOPAR when they were the only MOPAR fighting in the Pro Stock ranks, and doing it on their own dime, will never be forgotten by the true MOPAR loyalists. There were many times they had the only Dodge that could run with the pack, even after MOPAR got back in the game with sponsorship of other cars.

I'd like to thank them for bringing us fans a championship and being a class act that everyone who bleeds MOPAR blue can be proud to have supported.

The Johnson's have always been TRUE MOPAR guys and I wish them the best of luck in any and all future endeavors.

JB

The Johnson's are a Class Act! I hope they can continue to campaign a dodge. I'd love to see them and V Gaines team up and win the championship together! Dave
