is there any one out there who has used corrugated black plastic sheet for a seat divider when you delete the back seat. The reason I ask is its lighter and stronger than cardboard panel. the car already meets nhra spec with the card board divider so I don't need an aluminum divider but unfortunately I wrecked my original cardboard one by getting it wet

Your talking about Gator-Ply. Unless they made it fireproof, I would not use it. The fumes from the smoking plastic are thick and toxic. You're better off with airplane grade carpet. Very lite weight and takes a long time to burn and fume. They use to have rems on craigslist.

All the NHRA rule books I've read in the past said you had to have a specified thickness of steel, thinner, or thicker aluminum. I don't remember any wording involving cardboard but I haven't had a printed rule book since NHRA went cheap on us long time members back in 2010 or so down I've been rousted in NHRA tech here in the northwest about having to much clearance(more than 1/16 inch shock) between the aluminum seat partision and the rear roll bar downbars passing through it shruggy BTW, you really need to know if the battery is in the trunk and the same thing on the fuel filler being in the trunk or passing through the trunk for this rule shruggy

The fuel system is entirely under the car it uses a modified oem tank, the battery is in the trunk and contained in a vintage nmw
Box which meets NHRA and ihra certification. Thanks
