Said car in video, has no warranty. Oh, so because it has a tune, if the door locks stop working Chrysler won't honor it - gotcha!

I think 1980volare claims his is pretty heavy. 35-3600
1.33 60 ft,6.21 at 110.59 in the 1/8, pump gas small block,2950lbs,drag radials,mufflers and driven to track ...

Unbelievable that I post a video of a woman running 9.70's in a full street Mopar anyone car buy, with a pulley, tune and drag radials - and people somehow find something wrong with it, wow. Malicious-- I totally agree! That gal's charger is AWESOME. It's also a reminder that vintage muscle cars no longer rule the street, OR the track! My hat's off to her.

You'd think Mopar fans would be happy with that. It's ashamed dodge finally steps up and makes something worth making and people still [censored] about it

That 4 door "luxury" car weights 3-600lbs MORE then your truck. I'm not sure why you're upset.
They are heavy and slow, much like everything Chrysler produces. Doesn't mean they can't be fast, but why spend 70-80k on a car, modify it to take it to the track, then have to remove creature comforts to race it. Just doesn't make sense. Good God, take away your Mopar man card. Go buy a cheap suit, an S2000 and some pastel pants.

While I agree they are heavy, they sure as hell ain't slow, especially by lightly-modified 1980 Volare standards back when they were just a few years old. Yea, I would prefer a 1000 lb diet too, but Chrysler can't exactly market cars without A/c and a plethora of other creature comforts, emissions components, and safety features. ...and her car likely passes emissions...

Sure they can... It's called 'Drag Pak'... Same principle as the hurst cars... It ain't a new concept... SL's Challenger went nine-seventy... Almost 40 years ago... Through the muffs, without the spray... A street car... So, this ain't really no big shake...

I'm not surprised at all. How many times on this forum have you heard guys complain because an aftermarket head doesn't look like their 906's? Or their stamped rockers won't work? The list goes on and on. The guy that sonic checked my block builds engines and races a fox body mustang. One of the first thing he told me after we got acquainted was that Mopar guys are strange. I'll have to agree. BTW, I think the new Challengers and Chargers are great, I'd be tickled with a SRT in either one.

There are a lot of Chevy guys on this forum these days. They can't get their Mopars to run fast so they jump ship.
1970 Duster Edelbrock headed 408 5.984@112.52 422 Indy headed small block 5.982@112.56 mph 9.42@138.27

So whoever is lightest is coolest? GTF outta here, I cant believe the idiots on here that cant give credit to something when its slapping them upside the head with deserving it...when was the last time ANY factory car ANYWHERE could handle 1000rwhp hotlaps with a stock trans pushing 4400lbs? If any of you nimrods stuck in 1978 had any brains you would be calling Chrysler right now trying to figure out how to get that trans in your 600hp Volare so you could FINALLY have something....
Mopar to the bone!!!
