Do the re pops fit or are you better off having originals restored? If anybody out there has had a set restored, who did it and what did it cost?

I bought a set from metro before they went out of business and they were junk. I have heard others say different companies were pretty good. I can only give information on the ones that is had experience with. I would also like to know the ones that others have used and had good success with. I looked at some from Layson's and they looked pretty good but I didn't have the against a fender or a quarter panel to compare the fit.

Dales Cuda shop sells the best quality repops you can get. Even so, they are just ok. They do require tweaking and sometimes re-drilling new holes in the fenders or quarters to get the body lines to match up.

I purchased mine through MegaParts. I don't remember who the supplier was. No drilling required, but some twisting and turning to get them to fit.

Pick your poison.....
