Hi guys trying to find out if this is a 71 3462112 fan clutch. It measures 7 1/4 in diameter, stands 2 1/2 inches high on flat surface(short shaft) and it has a red seal. It does not say Eaton on it anywhere. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Nope that's a 070

The only difference is how far it's pressed on to the shaft.

If you want to trade I think I have a 112 and I think I still need one more 070

Morty

Are you sure? Only reason I ask is the back does not look like Tony's concours 070 clutch unit.

QBB - not asking you to take it on faith

070 - less than 2 1/2" (I measured 5 of them)

yes that's correct,
its the face of the fan that is concours to the original,
the back on mine is different, but that is covered up once the fan is installed.

even though the face isn't seen once installed we had many request for the correct face fan clutch so we made another version with the correct face on it

for comparison the pics show an 070 fan clutch on the right, and a 112 fan clutch on the left

its not that the shaft is pressed in more then the other,

the back side of the clutch is taller on the 112 clutch

Thanks guys and Thanks Tony for the "side by side" pics and the information on the reproduction back being different as it clears things up and helps identify them easily.

Morty I don't know what I am gonna do with yet but is the 112 unit shown the one you are interested in trading?

Well since you made me look I had go find all mine. Turns out I have 6 070s and 1 112. The 1 112 is extra but 6 is the number of 070s I need.

I can also check what my brother and friend have.

I'm sure at the end of the day we can work something out.
