I'm decking my org 440 block to get the comp ratio I want.
Need to remove the dowel pins for the 906 heads.
How do you get them out?
Peter

Best way is to use a dowel pin puller.

Shop doing the work should pull them for you as part of the service when they deck the block. With the right tool, it's a 5 second job.

I've taken them out with vise grips on very tight, twist and pull out no problems. When I did it, I applied a bit of heat on the block near thebase just in case they would be stubborn, but they really weren't.

If you're taking it to a machine shop for work, I'd let them do it as already suggested.
