Anyone here that has this body type that road races and willing to show some pics and specs? Moving from drag racing to road racing and pylon crushing. Thanks

i am building a 66 and was thinking of the same thing. a FABO member called lilcuda had a 66 cuda all set up for road course, but of course at the time i was not building my car and didn't save any info, and it has since been sold.

fwiw, i am running FFI front and rear everything, 1.1 t-bars, OEM style 11.75 brakes, and heading to chassis shop soon for frame connectors, fire wall braces and some other stuff.

My Barracuda wasn't really set up for road racing. Mostly spirited street driving. If you want to find out more about it, you pm me or look at the listing on Bring a Trailer:

I should also mention that the only reason I sold my 66 was to buy the Red Brick.

HDK front suspension. Flexform composite leaf springs with sliders on the rear.Ford 9" rear built to my spec's. believe it or not SRT4 engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. Weight of the car should come in between 2700/2800 at most. As soon as I get it on all four wheels I will get on a set of corner scales and then place the motor to achieve as close to a 50/50 ratio as I can front to rear. So most people will ask why a 4 cylinder. Well it's light 339 lbs. will make right at 530 at the wheel on pump gas running 28 lbs of boost. these cars with a /6 weighed 2650 475 for the /6 so right there I lost 136 lbs off the front. its all about power to weight ratio. and a short 108 wheel base never hurts.

Working on building the same thing. 63 Dart GT. I'll be keeping the T-bars.

Nice plan, and up for not following the beaten path.

Ok, you got me interested with the 4 cyl. engine. But the 108" wheelbase?

Which axle did you move, or did you do both?

Isn't this a Dart which started out at 111"?

I'll measure to make sure. Have not moved any axles. I have read that the third Gen. Darts were 106 and also read 108. 111 is what I read for the wagons. This info could be incorrect. I will double check.

Wagons are 106, Valiants are 108 and 63-66 Darts are 111.
