I tested this car at VIR and it's everything everyone says it is and more. It has the MOST grip of any production car I've ever driven. It's not for the timid and not for beginners, but if you want THE BEST track car currently on the market, this is it.
And this is coming from someone who has driven just about everything from the new GT3-RS to the GT350R...
Never trust a pretty girl... or a lonely midget.

I was almost dumb enough to sell my S2K just to buy this car brand new. I would have had to make payments, pay interest and all that other crap... Probably would have had to sell the `Cuda as well just to afford the $120-130k asking price plus dealer markup, taxes etc. Oh well, one can always dream... Man, I've driven my friend's S2K and I wish I just fit in one. They're very interesting high reving cars. Fortunately, my massive legs barely cleared the steering wheel, but I'm so wide that my left shoulder, arm, and leg hug the driver's door. I've been looking for a semi-decent car I could fit in, daily, autocross, and have fun on the mountain roads. Too bad a Viper is just too expensive. Used ones can be had, but maintenance and insurance would be a nightmare I'd imagine.

Doubt its a power wheelie lol! The Tudor guys have neutered the Vipers to something like 490hp with restrictor plates to keep them from DOMINATING. Thats right the cry babies in the other makes dont allow the race version to even have STOCK power.

That is the reason for the single smallish center hood mounted inlet restrictor we see in the wheelie pic?
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Powered by an 8.0-liter V10 engine that was restricted by the series to produce between 480-490 horsepower, the Viper GTS-R reached a top speed of 185 mph. A transaxle mounted in the rear saved weight in comparison to a standard transmission, with gear changing taking place via paddle shifters on the steering wheel. On the track, the Viper GTS-R was fueled by E85 as part of the IMSA Green Initiative program.
Mopar to the bone!!!
