I would like some help decoding the fender tag on a 69 Roadrunner.
I have a few but could use some help understanding the rarity or popularity of this option combo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

E63 383 4 bbl
D32 Automatic
RM23
H9G
291xxx

R4 Red
R4 Red
M6S ?????
A4 ????
618 Built Date
375xxx Seq No
A14 Spring Special (What does this mean) ?
C16 Console
C55 Bucket Seat
H51 AC
M21 Drip Rail
M31 Belt Moulding

R11
V1W White pin stripe
V21 Perf Hood Treatment
V6W White Vinyl Top
26 Radiator

1.) Are these options very desirable because I'm not sure how I feel about a red car with a white vinyl top... I'm open to hear any feedback ?

2.) What is the Spring Special all about ?

3.) What would be the estimated value of a survivor car (original red paint) with body in good shape...unmodified...very very little rust.... that runs (but has a 400 instead of the original 383). Paint is chalky but still there... car will start, run and drive but needs mechanical refresh. Interior all still there and in decent condition. Floor pans are nearly perfect under the carpet.

Thank You

R4 is the paint code. Barracuda Orange is the correct Plymouth name for it. I don't have my decoder book with me so someone else will have to finish the rest.

If you go to the site called: My mopar.com I think you can decode much of the tag yourself. After you get there,Just follow the links, click on tools and references, then fender tags. You`ll see how the rest works.

Thank You for that link.
I entered the codes in the tool and it helped identify a few of the codes I was missing but still not complete.

It did not recognize A14 or V1W, but I know what those are and the rest is already done.

Is the A14 Spring Special all that special or did they make a lot ?

Thank you again

What a great looking car with the pewter interior and white top/ stripes!!! That would be an unusual combination. do you own it? Are you selling it?

Its definitely a rare color combo, not one you see much of. As for the numbers on Spring Special cars go? I`m not a expert on RR`s. Maybe a Road Runner guy will chime in with some numbers for you.

Hello

I've heard of it's existence and heard that it's for sale.
Right now, I'm just trying to do some homework on the RRs.

Most of my experience is with E-Bodies and currently working on a 70 Charger so I'm pretty much up to speed on those cars.

Thanks

IMO, one of the significant STANDARD components of the Road Runner "Spring Special Packages" was the introduction of F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas tires w/RAISED WHITE LETTERS. "Red stripe" Polyglas tires were a no-cost OPTION with the A14/A15 RR packages and were spec'd on about 1/3 of the cars.

..... but a red car w/white stripes & top definitely needs RWL Polyglas tires!! drool

It's an uncommon combination - throw in the silver buckets, and dare I say RARE? This is the closest I could find. scope
