No, they where not the same on the production cars tsk I have seen several later 440 production blocks, the 1965 C body blocks also had those, that had the bosses cast into the driver side front so you could use them in the 1967 to 1969 H code A bodys. The 1965 C body blocks can be used in the 1967,68 and 1969 H code cars also. I had a 1975 440 motor home block that had them on it threaded and ready to go shock I used that block in my 1969 GTS H code 4 speed car for years to bracket race it with a 727 and the stock mounts with a strain strap on the left front thumbs shruggy I've also seen some blocks that had the blank bosses cast in with no threads in them confused IHTHs. The M code A bodys had a different K member also scope

Are you talking about the actual rubber engine mounts or the engine mount brackets?

For a factory big block A-Body the rubber mounts are the same but the drivers side mount bracket is different between a 383 and a 440.

The 383 mount bracket attaches to one front mount ear on the block and has 2 bolts that attach to the front of the block in front of the number 1 cylinder (above the oil pump on special bosses).
A pic of a 383 mount.

The 440 attaches on one front mount ear and has the other 2 bolts attach on the front of the pad that the oil pump bolts to on the block.
I tried finding a pic online for one but haven't found one yet.

I've got one of each out in the garage, I'll try to find time to take a pic.
Essentially it has another bracket welded on to the 383 style mount that goes down and attaches by the oil pump.

Copied from another post about the mounts.
Quote:
ok 1967 383 A-body used 1 K-frame, 1968-1969 383 and 1969 440 A-body used 1(SAME) K-frame. the rubber motor mount insulator for the passenger side are the same, 1967-1968-1969 383 and 1969 440. the passenger side steel engine mounting bracket which bolts to the ears of the engine block are the same, 1967-1968-1969 383 and 1969 440 A-bodies.
the drivers side rubber motor mount insulator is the same 1967-1968-1969 383 and 1969 440. the drivers side steel engine mounting bracket is the same for 1967-1968-1969 383s. the 1969 440 A-body used the 383 bracket with an additional piece of steel welded to the bracket and had holes drilled in it to attach to the 440 engine block.the 68 GSS Mr Norms 440 cars used the 383 components with added drivers side additional bracket attached. and yes i have parted out 383 A-bodies, and owned a 440 Dart.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

There are a pair of engine mounts (brackets) here in the A body parts for sale section. I'm trying to figure out if they are for a 383 or 440. Check it out on the November Parts For Sale.

From what I heard Chrysler only made the 440 mount for the cars(Darts and Barracudas) they produced, no extras. If you find one, buy it quick, big $$$. I looked for years till I found mine. Could have one made then drill and tap holes on block. Or one of those conversion mounts would be easier.

The drivers side 383 mount was used for the 440 but was bent out and angle iron was welded to it then drilled for the bolts that were used to connect it to the oil pump pads that were drilled and tapped. Our own Dan (berdboy) with the six pack Fury's had reproduced them years ago and I believe he sold out on them. I have one for my 68 GSS and his repro was spot on! up Anyone could make one with a 383 mount and a pattern. I found a homemade one on a 383 4-speed car years ago but they did not bend the 383 mount, just figured out how to weld on the angle iron. wave

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Over the years I've run across several M code Darts at car corrals. All were missing their engines thus missing the motor mounts. Had my hands on a pair of 440 A body mounts years ado. Didn't realize how scarce they are. If you find a pair hang on to them.
