I always wanted to have a line lock on my original 1967 Charger, but I don't like the idea to modify the originality of the car. I checked on Ebay for a discrete valve... I found a Whitey B-43F4 Brass Ball Valve - 1/4in - 0.9 CV - 40 Series for $15.00 + 4.95 shipping and installation 2 hours. Works Great

That looks like it is set up to block pressure to the rear brakes. That Is how I set up all the ones I do, works great on automatic cars.
The only Carbs I care about are under the hood!

If you drag race the car you might want to read NHRA rulebook gen reg section 3.1 "All line-locs (electric or hydraulic) must be self-returning to normal brake operating mode". I am not trying to be a jerk just wanted you to know

No more dangerous than a misadjusted, as in "cut off" adjustable proportioning valve. They will both shut the rear brakes off................BUT, you can actually use an electric one right where you have that valve. Flip the switch BEFORE you push the brakes, solenoid closes.......viola, no rear brakes

Guys quit hating, friend of mine has a 65 Belvedere been a race car sense 72 has a ball valve. Set up and has never been hit/turned on by accident works fine and can use as a temp parking brake while its on his trailer. Lot of libs showing there colors. Make shur you don't have that full race cam and a spool on the street either.

What I don't get it is you mention originality and then you cut a hole in the floor and modified the brake line.

Understand, but still not a good idea from a safety standpoint. Weather you are cutting out the front or rear brakes, it should be done with a momentary switch operating a solenoid and the system should be energized with a SPST toggle switch ( with an arming light if possible ). A little more work, but you could hide most of it easily enough.

So what kind of pressure is that valve rated for?
Kevin 3000 PSIG @ 100°F /206 BAR @ 37°C with a max temperature rating of 150 F 3000 PSIG /65 C 206 BAR according to the data sheet

I used to drive a tow truck that had a valve like that to lock all four wheels during winch and recovery work. You should have no problem with it, good luck!

Never use a toggle swith. That's as dangerous as anything. A push button is the only way to go. There is at least one track in my area that will throw you out of the foot brake class if you have your line lock on a button. Their rule is toggle switch only. (NO PUSH BUTTONS)

I know a guy that had that exact setup in his Dart for years. Never heard of it being an issue. Not sure if he still has it or not. I'm sure it will work for what you're doing just fine. Don't let the haters ruin your day. I run a line lick turned backwards like described above to lock out the back brakes; I prefer having control of the brake pressure while on the throttle. Great looking Charger by the way.

Or a toggle with a cover on it That is exactly how I am gonna do my LL and TB. Cover open, switch "on" and the device is actuated, close cover (shuts switch), device inactivated. The switches/covers will be behind the shifter.

Here is how I run mine. Toggle switch powers up the red momentary button on the shifter to lock the front brakes. You gotta be pretty deliberate to [censored] it up.
